Only I can rescue the country from the war crime charges since it is I who gave commands during the war - says War Hero, General Sarath Fonseka

9:08 PM // 0 comments // Unknown // Category: news War Hero, General Sarath Fonseka speaking to the anxious crowds waiting to receive him outside the court yeasterday (2oth) said that as the former Army Commander and as the one who gave commands during the war , it is only he can rescue Sri Lanka from the war crime charges leveled against the country. The entire nation will very soon know the cardboard heroes who were clamoring only for ‘kudos’ , and they will be packed home soon , he further added.

The Lawyer, Nalin Ladduuwahetti appearing on behalf of War Hero stated to court that in this present climate of dramatic changes taking place in this country precipitating a national crisis , he requested the panel of judges to give another date for hearing when the white flag case was taken up today.

The panel comprising Justices , Deepani Wijesundara, Sunil Rajapakse and Ruthika Raneek accordingly postponed the case to the 4th of May.

The Deputy Solicitor General Buwaneka Aluvihara who appeared for the plaintiff said he has no objection if the accused is not giving evidence in court today and the postponement of the case is based on the prevailing volatile situation in the country .
